Frequently Asked Questions

What does it cost to stage a home?

Staging is not an expense, it’s an investment to help sell your home faster and at a higher price. The cost of staging is far less than your first price reduction when your home doesn’t sell right away.

How do I know staging my home will work?

Statistics show that the longer a home remains on the market, the lower its selling price will ultimately end up. The reason staging works is because the money comes back to you by increasing your home’s selling price and decreasing the amount of time your home spends on the market.

I am worried about spending money. Should I wait to stage my home?

In a competitive real estate market, you need the advantage staging your home gives you before it is listed. Staging a home creates the emotions and impressions necessary to position your home to sell quickly.

My home is vacant, does it need staging?

Statistically, 90% of perspective buyers can’t see themselves living in an unfurnished home. Vacant homes can feel cold and uninviting and are often offered at lower prices than staged homes. By staging your vacant home, you create a warm and inviting atmosphere for prospective buyers.

I don’t want the entire home staged. Can you stage only the main rooms?

Yes, but remember people buy with their emotions. When a prospective buyer walks into your home, within seconds, he, she or they will have developed a feeling about it and leaving some of the rooms unstaged may discourage an otherwise interested buyer. It is always best to stage your entire home for consistency and appeal.

I don’t think I can afford to stage. If I put my home up for sale first and it doesn’t sell, then can I stage it?

IMG-05Realtors will verify that the most critical time for selling a home is during the first two weeks on the market and certainly during the first 30 days. Since this is when you get the most interest from potential buyers, a home should be staged before it is listed for sale to help maximize your chances of selling at a higher price.

I am living in my home currently. Can you use my existing furniture and accessories?

We certainly do our best to utilize as many of your possessions as possible. In order to be staged properly and maximize the potential selling price, we will make recommendations to achieve the look and feel our experience and expertise tells us buyers are looking for in today’s homes.

Why should I spend money on a home that I intend to sell?

For every month your home is on the market, you are incurring more costs to maintain the home. Staging your home is an investment, one that will minimize the stress that comes with selling and moving. The benefits and added value you receive from staging more than pay for the cost of staging your home to sell.

When is payment due?

We require 50% of our staging fees when the contract is signed. The remaining balance is due prior to staging.  You may pay by check, credit card, debit card, Pay Pal or cash. All work will begin when approval is obtained.
